Building our Story

Before 2025, Project Vérité was just a conversation.

Jordan and Mike were sitting together, talking about a shared passion for storytelling for nonprofits. We believed stories could do more than inform. They could inspire real change.

That conversation became a dream.

And that dream became Project Vérité.

This year marked our first full year operating as a nonprofit storytelling organization. You can learn more about who we are and what we do at www.projectverite.org.

It has been a year we will never forget.

Our projects have taken us across the world.

From the rural countryside of Mozambique to the cities of Italy. From local communities to the streets of Manila in the Philippines.

Everywhere we went, we listened.

We heard beautiful stories.

We heard challenging stories.

We heard heartbreaking stories.

And every one of them was also a story of perseverance.

A story of hope.

A story of people choosing to move forward, even when life was hard.

As we look back on this year, we know something important.

What we are building goes far beyond one year.

Project Vérité is not about telling stories for the sake of storytelling. It is about honoring people who have lived through hardship and chosen to create change anyway.

This belief is at the heart of everything we do, and it’s something we’ve explored deeply in posts like Why We Tell Stories on our blog:
https://projectverite.org/verite-blog/why-we-tell-stories

This year also reminded us that growth takes time.

There were seasons that felt slower than we hoped. Fundraising was harder than we wanted it to be. Progress didn’t always move at the pace we imagined.

But we kept building.

Because we believe the process itself matters. We shared more about that mindset in The Process Is a Gift:
https://projectverite.org/verite-blog/the-process-is-a-gift

We believe we are building toward a future where Project Vérité consistently shares stories that bring light, hope, and purpose into the world.

Stories that remind people they are not alone.

Stories that show trust can be earned, even in difficult places, as we reflected on in When Trust Is Earned:
https://projectverite.org/verite-blog/when-trust-is-earned

None of this would be possible without you.

Whether you followed along on social media, shared our work, read our blog posts, signed up for our newsletter, or helped fund our projects, your support mattered.

It truly made a difference.

Your support helps us tell stories like the ones behind projects such as Nova Esperança, which we shared more about here:
https://projectverite.org/verite-blog/behind-the-scenes-of-nova-esperana-new-hope

Our heart has always been clear.

We want to tell stories of people who faced some of the hardest moments in life and still chose to persevere.

People who came out the other side and created impact in their communities.

People who carry a story of hope and know it can help make the world a better place.

As we move forward, we will keep building.

We will keep filming.

We will keep telling stories.

Project Vérité exists to impact the world through storytelling, and we are just getting started.

Thank you for being part of the journey so far.

Thank you for sharing in the story with us.
