It’s yours alone to share, and no one can touch it unless you allow them in.

We’ve always believed that stories have power. A story can cut through noise, soften even the hardest hearts, and remind us of what truly matters. It’s why we started Project Verite in the first place—to tell stories of hope and truth that might otherwise go untold.

From long travel days and food poisoning to finding Phineas, we dive into a bit of the behind the scenes work to make our most recent film Nova Esperança — New Hope come to life.

Making a story that really connects with people isn’t easy. It takes time, effort, and yes—sacrifice. That might sound a little dramatic, but it’s true.

At just seventeen, Phineas was imprisoned for a crime he deeply regretted. Behind bars, he felt utterly alone—abandoned by those he once trusted, defined by a past he couldn’t undo. With each passing day, hope grew dimmer. He couldn’t imagine a future beyond the cell walls, nor a life that might welcome him back.

There was an immediate synergy between them. As they worked together, it became clear that each brought a unique set of skills and ideas to the table. Their strengths balanced each other out, making for a strong collaborative dynamic.

We live in a world saturated with content—most of it fleeting, fear-driven, and forgettable. But we believe storytelling should be more than noise.

Now, for many people who start in this creative field, the focus is often on creating the most cinematic, slow-motion videos possible. And while I found that interesting, what I cared most about were stories that were worth sharing. Stories that inspire action. Stories that provide hope. Stories that empower change.

I have always said that if there was a better way to tell someone’s story other than video I would drop video in a heart beat and do that! But given today’s audience this is the best tool we have.
