Kids International Ministries: Stories of Hope That Need to Be Told

We’ve always believed that stories have power. A story can cut through noise, soften even the hardest hearts, and remind us of what truly matters. It’s why we started Project Verite in the first place—to tell stories of hope and truth that might otherwise go untold.

That’s why we are thrilled to announce our newest project: partnering with Kids International Ministries (KIDSIM) in the Philippines to create four documentary films that capture the heart of their ministry and the lives it is touching every single day.

On September 15th, we’ll board a plane and fly out to the Philippines. For two weeks, we’ll walk alongside this ministry—listening, watching, and filming. We’ll sit in classrooms, step into homes, join meals, and share time with people whose lives are being transformed. And we’ll do what we love most: capture real stories, real faces, and real hope.

Why These Stories Matter

We don’t make films just to entertain. We make them because stories shape culture. They remind us that the world is bigger than ourselves, and they invite us into something greater. Stories help us see people not as strangers, but as brothers, sisters, and neighbors.

That’s why when KIDSIM reached out, we knew this was a project we had to say yes to. Their work is full of people who sacrifice and serve—people who give their skills, time, and hearts for the sake of others. These aren’t just “projects” or “programs.” These are children, mothers, fathers, and volunteers—each with a story that deserves to be told.

The Four Films - A Quick Scope

Here’s what we’ll be capturing:

  1. Cuatro Christian School
Education changes everything. KIDSIM has built a private school to give kids a chance at a brighter future. In this film, we’ll share the journey and story of a child whose future is being changed because of this school.

  2. Adonai Pregnancy Center
A crisis can be turned into hope. At Adonai, mothers in crisis are met with compassion and care. The director of this center once walked through its doors as a client herself. Now she leads it. Her story is one of redemption, transformation, and second chances.

  3. The Children’s Home
This is not just a building—it’s a home. A place where children are not just cared for, but loved. A place filled with laughter, belonging, and hope for the future. We want to show the difference between having a roof over your head and truly having a home.

  4. A Day in the Life
Sometimes the best way to understand a ministry is simply to spend a day in its shoes. In this film, we’ll follow three people as they go about their work—feeding the hungry, teaching children, caring for the most vulnerable. Their daily rhythms will give us a glimpse of the heartbeat of KIDSIM.

Why We’re Going

We’ve shared before in Why We Tell Stories that storytelling is at the core of who we are. It’s why Vérité got started and why we’ve poured ourselves into this mission. Stories remind us of the beauty and brokenness of the world—and they point us toward hope.

Our hope is that these films will do just that. That they will shine a light on the goodness of God at work through ordinary people. That they will inspire someone to give, to pray, to sponsor a child, to support a mother, or simply to believe that change is possible.

We want these films to live on long after we come home from the Philippines. We want them to be shared, remembered, and talked about for years to come. Because stories like these deserve to be told.

Walk With Us

We don’t want to do this alone. We want you to come with us—through every moment of filming, every story we uncover, every life we get to witness up close.

Follow along on our journey:

We’re just days away from September 15th, when we’ll pack our gear, grab our cameras, and set off to tell these stories. We’re full of excitement, nerves, gratitude, and above all—hope.

Hope that through these films, you’ll see what we see: the beauty of people who give their lives for others, the strength of children and families in the face of hardship, and the reminder that love still changes everything.

Because when we tell stories of truth and hope, we believe it doesn’t just change individuals—it can change the culture, the community, and even the world.
